Burger Magic
If you haven't grilled a lot of burgers this summer, Labor Day Weekend is the time to make up for it! There's nothing better than eating a smoky, juicy burger hot off the grill with its crisp, caramelized crust and tender interior, like the All-American Burger. Put out lots of toppings so your guests have great choices to top their burgers, then dig in. Have a wonderful grilling weekend!

Make Ahead Labor Day Feast
I think that the best way to have fun at your own party is to make as much of the food ahead of time as possible. This menu is perfect because everything has to be made ahead of time! Just put the ribs on the grill to glaze and get nice and crisp, and put out the salads. A couple of bags of potato chips (especially sour cream and onion - my personal fav) rounds out the menu. So enjoy the weekend with family and friends and don't forget to fly your flag!

Make Ahead Breakfast Recipes
One of the hardest parts about back to school is making everyone eat a hearty and healthy breakfast every morning. Let these recipes come to the rescue! They are all made ahead of time. All you have to do is dish them up from the crockpot, slice a piece, pop them in the oven, or defrost 'em in the microwave. And all will fuel your family so they will keep going strong all through the day.

The Weekend Cook: Last Blast of Summer
This weekend really is the last weekend of summer. Next weekend is Labor Day and all the fuss and bother of getting ready for school. So really take some time to enjoy the next couple of days and make some special (but still quick and easy!) recipes for your family and friends like Pear Cake with Caramel Sauce. Go on a picnic, have a cookout, and revel in the warm weather. The leaves will be falling before you know it!
